Thank you Erik! Your writing about your hiking adventures has inspired me to try to get more creative with my words. I thought doing some short pieces would help me. The video was quickly made and not intended to be used in a post but it worked. I need to take more videos. The lilypads were other worldly.
Yes, Neil - I get my best inspiration from paddling and just being out in nature....as you do. The video clip was quickly made but it worked for the post. The lilypads were something else. I am heading out early tomorrow morning to look for birds at a few local birding spots.
These haiku are brilliant! A couple of Autumns ago I made a few haiku to go along with some photos I made. I collected them in a post titled Photopoems. I always intended on doing more of that, but never followed through. Now I think you've inspired me to do it!
That first one is fantastic and the video that goes along with it gave me chills. I could feel that breeze! I also really enjoyed the Lilypads drifting.
Awesome adventure, Jenn! It looks and sounds like Nature and canoeing inspired some excellent poetry! I love those haikus and than you for the kind mention.
I enjoyed the video clip and those sounds and sights go so well with the haiku poems. Really nice colours of Nature on those images as well. I like especially like the haiku about the lilypads and the matching images. A nice post to read and enjoy into the weekend. Thanks for sharing.
The Woman in the Canoe. You have mastered the art of writing … of living. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Brenda - your words mean a lot to me.
Love these, Jenn!
Thank you Lou.
Beautiful imagery, Jenn! Thanks for sharing this experience!
It was a beautiful paddle and day.
Your post and photos make me long to put our kayaks out in the water! Lovely, lovely Jenn!
