Good Morning Jenn! Thanks for the shout out!

Nice front porch, reminded me of Sonneberg gardens. Probably the same time you were chasing the ghosts of the Loomis gang I was hiking the mountain bike trails of nearby Woodford State Forest. No better woods hiking on a warm day than singletrack. You are guaranteed shade. GoPro makes great cameras for outdoors, they can be voice activated so I leave it strapped on and take stills or video just by saying a few words.

I am always looking for a shady forest to hike in. Thanks for the top on the GoPro. I do not know much about their features - do you recommend a specific model? I am not looking for anything fancy. I would like to be able to wear it while skiing too.

The current model is Hero 12 double the battery life but no GPS. The Hero 11 and earlier have the gps. I am currently using a 9. New models come out every fall so buy an older model then if you can wait. Buy the chest harness at the same time.

You are welcome. I paddle in a 15 pound Hornbeck kevlar canoe which I love. I can carry the canoe myself and load and unload on my van. I use an iPhone15 Pro as my camera - it does have 3 lenses. I attach the phone to my PFD vest with a rubber tether that I found on Amazon. The tether keeps the phone right in front of me so when I need to take a photo, I just grab it. I have been working with my brother who is a professional photographer and he encouraged me to continue to use an iPhone for my needs and is teaching me how to edit raw images. It is all a journey. With that said, I think my next camera would be a GoPro - something that I can attach to me. Any recommendations?

Hey, I appreciate the mention! I was wondering if you ever take your camera out in the canoe/kayak. I have a small, cheap kayak that I want to start using, but I'd only feel ok taking my GoPro with me!
