These are some great photos and I really enjoyed how you connected them with your memories of the adventure! I’ve definitely had trips drenched in rain. It leaves an impression, to say the least!

I think I was "inspired" by your rainy adventures.......for sure. Thank you Erik for your positive feedback - I deeply appreciate it.

Ah, yes. Public lands are the pages on which we scribble our most indelible memories (sometimes in permanent ink if the rain won't stop). Thanks for sharing more of yours!

This is what it is all about: "But somewhere in the middle of the discomfort, something shifted. I began to laugh at the absurdity, to embrace the squish of my heavy boots, to feel alive in a way that only this wild and inconvenient nature allowed." Beautifully said, Jenn.

We are still laughing about it today

Almost 13 years later.

I was more worried about bears on the trip and never thought it was going to rain every day. We never saw one indication of any bears near us.

Thank you for your positive comment Sam.

Definitely expanded my experience in backpacking....but the memory still lingers on and we still laugh about all the rain.

Boy you are a brave and hardy soul! Not sure I would have kept my spirits up with all the rain on your one trip. Love the way you combined the highlights from each trip Jenn. Great post!

The rain definitely put a damper on our trip.....but the memories are still there.

Those look like 3 amazing outdoor experiences, Jenn. I really like the photos - especially the image of the bison in Yellowstone. I like how you describe how you could sense something shifted during your trip with the constant rain. It's interesting how sometimes we can flip our expectations and look at conditions from another point of view. Thanks for sharing.
