So many beautiful options, Jenn! My brother has take his family to the area several times as it is an easy trip from Cornwall, Ontario. They mostly stayed around the Lake Placid area and really loved it. The 1 hour track of Loons and nighttime at the campfire is so peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
I love to share these places - so near and dear to me. Lake Placid is another beautiful place to visit but can be busy at certain times of the year. I "met" my first loon paddling a canoe on Mason Lake in the Adirondacks.....he or she kept following my canoe and diving underneath. So looking forward to getting back there this summer.....we are camping this time. Should be interesting.
