That’s a big fish! My grandfather used to take us kids fishing. We seldom caught anything. I think he just wanted to hang out at the river with us.

I was thinking of Aldo Leopold when I was wrapping up this post.....we are blessed to be able to get out on this lake in April for this kind of adventure.....the lake is deep and just mesmerizing. Thank you for sharing.

Great photos, Jenn and interesting to learn the difference between fishing and angling. Nice catch in that first image! I like that photo of Lake Cayuga with the blue skies - great colours. I like that quote from Aldo Leopold as well. Looking forward to more posts on fishing/angling!

Brrr! You have to really like angling to brave those cold winds! I've never been an angler -- tried it once with my brother's guidance, but it wasn't a fit for me. I love when he goes, however, because he always catches something and occasionally shares his catch with us! Great photos, Jenn!
