Hoping for a bit more snow coverage here in CNY after tonight to be able to stay local, if not I'll be headed to Tug Hill Friday or Saturday (before it warms up😢)
Been working a disaster in Lewis County for months. A wonderful place. I hunted for years oon state land a couple of miles up the road from where you ski. Beautiful in the winter.
Great description, Jenn. I experienced that same lake effect while living in St. Catherines Ontario and commuting to work in Southwestern Niagara Falls. There would be almost no snow in St. Catherines and I'd arrive at work 45 minutes later to snow nearly halfway up my shins! Such an odd weather phenomenon to live around!
Yes, so weird. I see the same when I am driving up there. Thank goodness that there is now a website of webcams - northernchateau.com - so I can check various locations all over New York State - live. The website is primarily for those who snowmobile.
Me too! Heading up to Tug Hill this weekend.

This has been an awesome system! We have been hammered here in the Keweenaw, but more about that in next edition tomorrow!

I live vicariously through your adventures, Jenn. I hope you are able to enjoy the "lake effect" again this season. Photos are gorgeous.
Thank you for your positive comments - I appreciate them.
